I was constantly searching Google for measurements until I decided to create my own charts. This is especially important when baking or when trying to figure out the nutritional value of recipes.
For example, if one cup serves four, how many tablespoons is that per serving?
Lets break it down. By using the chart below you will see that there are 16 tablespoons in a cup. If one cup equals four servings, then there are four tablespoons per serving. If something has 2g of carbs per tablespoon, then there are 8g of carbs per serving.
Following are a few charts that may be helpful:
|T or tbsp||tablespoon|
|c or C||cup|
|pinch||pick up between finger and thumb|
|1/4 stick butter||2 tablespoons|
|1 stick butter||1/2 cup|
|juice of a lemon||3 tablespoons|
|juice of an orange||1/2 cup|
